Ideas on fixing the flanking problem, feedback?

For an upcoming rules update we’ve been thinking on how to fix the flanking problem in the game, and would like some feedback.

Basically right now it’s too easy for units to flank when using charge actions, because they can just move past their enemy, then pivot 90° to get right in their flank.

To fix this we’ve been thinking of a very simple solution: Charging units may only pivot up to 90° before moving.

This way if you’re in a unit’s front you can’t simply sneak into their flank, but you can still pivot and counter-charge a unit that flanked you last round.

What do you think? Any other suggestions?

We tested this method with friends and we are really satisfied with it.
It does not stiffen the game too much. We will continue to use this rule.
