I asked this elsewhere, but decided it might get lost in the other discussion.
If a unit charges another and does more wounds than the defending unit, but the defending unit still does enough to destroy the charging unit, does the defending unit lose (because they did fewer wounds than the enemy)? And do they have to take a morale test? And if failed and less than half strength, I assume it routs. So two units could eliminate each other?
I think that would be the current rule. Or is there an implied rule (in italics): "Instead they compare the number of wounds each unit caused and the unit with the lowest total loses and must take a morale test, unless the other unit was eliminated."
Not terribly important. Just curious.

The intention is that if one of the units is destroyed you don't take a morale test. Of course if you want to allow mutual destruction that also sounds fun!

To make that intention clear, would it be fair to rewrite the following: as
