Is there any Discord Server for OnePageRules? If not is anyone up for creating one?

Whilst it would definitely be cool to have an official Discord server for OPR we simply don't have the time or resources to manage something like that.
If someone wants to create an unofficial fan server on Discord however that would be great, we'd definitely promote it via a news post so it can reach more people.

I've been thinking about starting a discord server for some time now, so I've put it together and made it open to everyone. Hope you guys join me in it. discord.gg/krMaj7k

Sounds cool, I'll check it out whenever I have time, thank you! I'll also try to spread the word about it, it's not the first time I hear people asking for a discrod server so maybe there's some interest in it.

May I, the ignorant, ask what would be the purpose? Does it mean a voice chat, or messages?
My kids set up Discord for family conversations (we're spread out). And my son admins one related to a computer game. So I know generally what Discord does. Just curious what it would bring to fans of a miniatures game.

@andy:We too have a family one (for our weekly RPG stuff mainly), with my sons running a couple for their various gaming interests outside the house. The best thing about Discord is that it is basically a web version of the old "chat rooms". The forums are good for the once a day "read, reply, post an idea" non-realtime style conversations we have here; but the realtime aspect of Discord (& the old IRC chatrooms it seems based off) allows for the kind of flowing conversation you get face-to-face. You are also alerted when people tag you directly (or address @everyone) in one of the chat rooms. The voice chat room feature though would be the primary differentiator. When gaming, you can chat to people hands-free and its particularly cool for "hang outs" whilst streaming (whether that be gaming or, say, miniature painting). Oddly, compared to my more vocal "face-to-face" persona, I don't use the voice chat so much as (online at least) I like to take the time and get my entire thought out. Text lends itself more to that as there is no way to "interrupt" one another with text.
