Let me be fast and clear: for the sake of model economy, would it be batter to model "heavy weapon teams" as lone models within small bases or as lone models within a mini diorama in a 60mm base?

I don't understand what you mean with model economy, but either method should be fine. Personally I love the old school heavy weapons teams which had models on individual bases, with one carrying a missile launcher and the other carrying ammo.

To me, doing them individually gives more freedom for multiple rulesets/ways to play. You could always make a 60mm "movement tray" if people are sticklers about them being based together for certain rule sets.

Personally I love the old school heavy weapons teams which had models on individual bases, with one carrying a missile launcher and the other carrying ammo. And i loved that ideia. Probably the meaning of "model economy" was lost in translationg, im sorry. Just wanted to use as few models as possible (expensive things ) In this case, i have a lot of soldiers carrying Heavy Machine Guns, from a bunch of diferente companies, but none of them have "loaders" with them. They are all in 25mm bases, so i started to wonder "how to represent them?". Your advice actually gave me a good ideia: sci-fi-ish "siege Shields" with ammo boxes attached, in small 25mm bases", to represent a loader and the "Tough(3)" rule. Thank you.
