Welcome to the official thread for the GFF Gang Wars community campaign!
The campaign is open for anyone to join, and we use this thread to track our warbands, share battle reports and more. You can take part in the campaign from home or play with us online by joining our Discord server and using our Roll20 playroom.
Here is how the campaign works:
For this particular campaign you're encouraged to use army lists made up of units from the Gangs of Hive City army book, but may use any armies you like.
To join the campaign simply make a post with your warband details (check out my warband in the next post as an example).
You must play at least 5 missions with your warband to be added on the leader board.
After playing 15 missions the warband must be retired, and you can start a new one if you'd like to keep playing.
To calculate your campaign score simply divide the number of VP your earned by the number of matches you played and multiply by 100 (rounding up the result). Example: If you earned 5 VP and played 8 games, then your campaign score would be 63 (8 / 5 = 6.3 * 100 = 63).

The first battle of the Gang Wars was fought between the Tin Titans and the Killing Beauties. The objective was to Breakthrough to the other side's objective. Additionally, the Femmes had to try and KO the Titans' leader, while the Titans were looking for first blood.
The battle begins with the Titans and Femmes deploying into a cramped building that seems to be an abandoned shopping center. Additionally, it seems the building was not so abandoned, as a quintet of zombies was awakened by the Femmes.
The initial moves were made, with a few potshots and a charge, none of which did any lasting damage. Victor, the leader of the Titans, tried to blitz Justine and blast her with a Fusion Rifle, but failed to hit.
More gunfire, including Justine being blasted by the Fusion rifle, a zombie wounding Victor and getting killed for its trouble. Lilea blasted Rebecca with her combat shotgun, taking her out of the fight. Adley took a wound from the gunslinging Laura.
One of the rookies managed to take down Victor, while the Miners began to regroup to protect their objective and seize the Femme's objective, while the zombies wandered around hungrily. Several Femmes lost their nerve and fled.
The remaining Femmes made a push for stalemate, but the Miners held and managed to destroy their objective when round 5 rolled around, giving the Miners a victory and 30 points. The Femmes walked away battered but not injured, with 50 points to show for it.
The prefab industrial complex was deep in the warrens of the Hivecity, far from the good people it served above. Despite the whirs of the massive air-circulating vent and the constant bubble of the dozens upon dozens of poison extraction factories desperate to stay ahead of the press of humanities wastes, it seemed deathly quiet. The workers where scarce, even the hiverats and wild mutts knew to stay away from the area... The Killing Beauties wanted some sport, and the Chessmen where going to suffer for it.
Game: Breakthrough Special Objectives The Killing Beauties: First knockout The Chessmen: Kill the highest point model of your apposing army.
Deployment: The Killing Beauties attacked from the left side, marshaling their strength at the two choke points to their deployment area. An improvised Explosive was hidden down in the southern chamber (Shown next picture) cutting off the southern Chessmen lead by the Shadow Knight while the Dark King of the Chessmen revealed himself to the south of the Beauties, Shock stick flashing in the flickering Hive lights. The fight had started.
Turn 1: The Dark King tangled with two Beautie Gangers, taking wounds from the Melee artist and trading unsuccessful shots with the other. The Northern Beauties rookies jump up on to the platform, wounding one of the Hidden Rookies while the Southern Chessmen move slowly forward, moving towards the generator controls and careful not to set off the bomb.
Turn 2: The Northern Beautie Rookies kill the wounded Hidden Rookie and cap off another getting first blood, while a third Hidden managed to kill A beautie in revenge of his fallen comrades. in the south a Hidden Rookie is knocked out while the melee artist attempts to cross the fungi field to get at the opposing Hero while the Shadow Knight moves up, leaving a Hidden rookie to deactivate the generators and allow the last hidden rookie entry back into the Objective area for guarding purposes. The Dark King falls to the blades of the Beautie Ganger, but survives the encounter and pulls a Pike, rising from the defeat with horrible scars enough to make an alien flinch.
Turn 3 The Southern Melee Rookie went mad and charged the Shadow Knight, killing herself off with the IUD and clearing that passage for both armies While the Beautie hero moved into the fungus to get a better shot, killing a hidden rookie. The generators are finally shut off and a Rookie books it through the room to help protect the Objective. The hidden rookie gets to the objective just in time to see the entire rest of the team fail their moral and route, Giving the definite win to the Killing Beauties and netting them 10 points and the victory point. The Chessmen get 30 pts for their troubles.

Another day, another brutal gang fight in the depths of Hive City. The Tin Titans went up against the "Lord Duke" and his retainers.
The Tin Titans began the game by deploying around the various objectives, aiming to quickly capture them. The Lord Duke's "men" deployed to oppose them.
Round 1 kicked off with Deron uncovering another Grandpa's Gun. Apparently Gramps left guns stashed across the city.
The beginning of the round saw the retainers trying to shoot up the Miners and failing, followed by Victor blasting the Lord Duke himself with a Fusion Rifle, knocking him out. Deron managed to get in a wounding blow on Winefetcher, but only stunned him. Victor took a wound from Filthy, and Corpse KO'd Adley. None of the objectives were captured in this round, only contested.
The second and final round saw the Tin Titans worn down by sheer numbers. Some missed shots and poor melee attacks left them open to retribution, with the retainers Corpse and the Fat one managing to score KOs. The Miners saw the writing on the wall and withdrew to lick their wounds. Unfortunately, Adley and Deron succumbed to their wounds, and went to the great pool hall at the top of the Hive.
Both sides obtained their objective of avoiding KO's while stunned. This earned the Lord Duke and the Tin Titans 30 points each, with the Titans getting another 30 points for their loss.
The Tin Titans lost two good miners, Adley and Deron. Victor leveld up, rolling Fast Learner and electing to take Specialist(Shooting). They invested their new funds into a Champion wielding a Chainsaw Sword, and a trio of Rookies.
The Lord Duke spent his points on hiring two new retainers.
Main objective is sabotage. Shared side mission is conserve (At least 50% of friendly units alive).
La Clavette: -Hidden side mission for is attrition (At least 50% of enemy units killed) -Game plan is to kill as many enemies as possible, ignoring objective marker for the first half of the game. -I will divide my units in 2 groups, 1 with range and the other with CCW.
Deployment: Peon-XL has deployed spread. La Clavette have deployed stacked on their right flank to get early kills.
Turn 1 Prime-Gama was charged by Valentine but no wound from either fighter. Prime-Gama flees away from valentine.
George is under heavy fire from his opponents. Annie stunned Carantan-01 who is holding the Peon-XL objective. Xenon-7 comes in range of George and use CP to get hit. George spends 2 CP to get stunned instead of Knocked Out but fail anyway and is KO. Giai-247 stuns Jack.
Valentine knocks out Prime-Gama.
Xenon-7 comes down the main road and stuns Franz. Annie stunned Xenon-7.
Alpha-A1 knocks out the poor stunned Franz.
Turn 3 Annie shoots Alpha, doesn't wound.
Giai-247 knocks out Valentine in a charge.
Jack tries to get revenge for Valentine but fails to wound.
Alpha fires on Annie but fails. Carantan finally moves out his cover.
Delta-8008 moves to seize La Clavette’s objective and wound Annie
Jack flees the battlefield after 50% of La Clavette has been knocked out.
La Clavette’s objective is destroyed by Delta-8008.
Turn 4 Annie fails her last shot.
Annie is stunned.
Xenon-7 knocks out Annie.
La Clavette: 0 vp +30pts+10pts Peon-XL: 4 vp +10pts+10pts Both special objectives are completed after rolling on the table after the game because we forgot to do it in the pre-game phase.
La Clavette: -Annie rolls chest wound. -Valentine +1xp for knocking out someone.
