This is the official thread for the AoF Skirmish community campaign.
The campaign is open for anyone to join, and we use this thread to track our warbands, share battle reports and more. You can take part in the campaign from home or play with us online using our Discord server and Roll20 page.
Here is how the campaign works:
To join the campaign simply make a post with your warband details (check out my warband in the next post as an example). Then play at least 5 missions with your warband to be added on the leader board. To calculate your campaign score simply divide the number of VP your earned by the number of matches you played and multiply by 100 (rounding up the result). Example: If you earned 5 VP and played 8 games, then your score would be 63.
Please remember to send me a message or make a post with your campaign score after playing each game so that I can update this post.
The Saint Saraphine; chosen of the Lake, keeper of the crystal chalice, Lady of Peerage and class, was snoring loudly. Her servants moved quietly around her as she rested on her fainting couch, pale arms draped over her face, a light amount of drool pooling at the corner of her mouth. On the table next to her, a bottle of the redest wine, a slotted spoon and small vial of essence of lotus along with a glass filled with residue. The Saint Saraphine was chasing dreams, it seems.
When she started to moan, activity intensified around her. Plates of food and goblets of drink where brought in, steam still rising from the spiced Venison. Pillows where brought in and slipped behind her as she roused and stretched, a dish of water on her lap for washing. She splashes some on her face then, after making a rather unlady-like sound, spits blood and muscus into the silver plate. She stares intently at the swirling forms for a long moment before a small, vicious smile splits her oval face. The water dish spills on the floor as she rises suddenly, grabbing a goblet of wine and draining it. Her servants scramble in silence to clean the water and she flings the goblet into fire with a delighted laugh. Her two knights, so much like metal statues before, move andkneel before the laughing noble. "What says the flows of the Lake, my leige?" Echos one from within his thick helm.
"They speak of blood and glory, sir Knight." She says with joy in her voice and a fire in her eyes. "They speak of treasures in the south, of villains and heroes, and of creatures from the long past." She swirls as she speaks, dress flaring out to show her legs for but a moment, then a girlish giggle escapes her lips.
"Gather a handfull of men and meet me at the stables... we ride towards destiny!"

The campaign kicked off with an epic battle between Bahnam's Avengers, Arkev's Guardians, and The Saraphine Entourage over an important artifact purported to be buried in a lake.
The Entourage won deployment, coming in from the north, while the Saurians trundled through the desert from the south, and the Avengers made their way through the sands from the west.
The opening round was a bit of skirmishing and shooting, with only 1 major hit. The Gecko Priest Arkev failed his magical spell roll, while the Chameleon Irtek managed to wound and stun one of the human Infantrymen. The skeletons attacked the Saurian Warriors, taking a loss while the Guardian Statue KO'd one of theirs, Nax. The rest of the round was troops getting into postition for the upcoming carnage.
The Skeletons accidentally got a message from the Gods meant for Bahnam, getting 1XP from a random event. Arkev failed to cast Quench on the Guardian Statue. A skeleton tried to surprise one of the Knights, but was KO'd for his trouble. Irga the Warrior managed to KO one skeleton and stunned another on the defense, before she was stunned in turn by Bahnam. Saraphine blasted Irtek with a fireball, but the Chameleon escaped the battle while the clever decoy burned. Meanwhile Gint tried to KO the other Knight, but failed to wound, as did the Knight, who managed to charge and stun Gint for trying to attack. The other skeletons advanced on the objective, while the bowmen uselessly rained arrows.
Irga held, determined to protect Arkev from the mummies' advances. The Guardian Statue attacked Saraphine, but took a wound without doing damage. She responded with a deadly fireball. A skeleton managed to KO one of the infantry. When the other Infantrymen tried to avenge their friend, they got stunned. The bowmen continued to miss everything in front of them. At the end of the round, Arkev made the call to retreat, and Bahnam recalled his forces as well, apparently uninterested in the quagmire the fight was devolving into.
The Mummies only got 10 points, and spent it on getting Spears for their skeletons. The Saurians got 50 points, and combined with the 10 they already had saved up, got another Chameleon and a unit of Geckos. Saraphine and her men got 3 VP for reclaiming whatever lay at the bottom of the oasis, among all the wasted arrows.
Yuwanimus surveyed the scene before him. He had spent the past 3 seasons scouring the realms for the finest seed for this crop. After wandering for so long he was satisfied with this meager harvest. He had found this abandoned farmstead far from the large civilized cities of men. It would serve well for his purposes. He surveyed the garden and the low stone wall that separated it from the surrounding weeds and fields. This harvest would be a new beginning for Yuwanimus. It would begin small, but as with all things he touched, it would fester and spread.
The slick pods at his feet pulsed with a soft green light as he lovingly pruned and tended their withered, leathery casings. Every few moments one of the casings would pulse and stretch as the occupant struggled and shifted. “Soon, friends…” thought Yuwanmius as he walked between the four remaining pods of the harvest. “You are all that remain, but you will be enough.”
After several days of affectionately pruning and fertilizing he knew it was time. Yuwanimus walked to the edge of his garden and took a seat upon the low stone wall that surrounded it. With a wet rip, the first pod fell open and out spilled a huddled mass of flesh and bone. As it rose to its full height Yuwanimus admired the weeping sores that covered its body.
“You are Puss,” Yuwanimius said to the first of this harvest.
The second pod ripped open with a crack. The creature that stepped out into the garden was covered in a blanket of mucus from head to toe.
“You will be called Spleen friend.” Yuwanimus cooed to his newly formed son.
The third and fourth pods burst open simultaneously eager to join the growing gathering. The first, enveloped in red, purple and black welts, began to scratch compulsively.
“Ahhh, I believe you will be Pox.”
The fourth and final of his sons had begun to retch uncontrollably covering the ground with steaming piles of filth.
“Bile it is my friend” Yuwanimus turned and took in the sight of his four newly born sons.
It was time. He had completed the harvest and would begin his favorite portion of this never-ending cycle. The Spread was what he lived for. To take his gifts and share them with every mortal he could was what drove him. They would not appreciate these gifts of course. But it mattered not. He would share them generously.
Turning to look beyond the farm and into the surrounding countryside, a plume of smoke in the distance caught Yuwanimus’ eye. “Ahhh our first friends”
Yuwanimus looked back over his shoulder and motioned for his children to follow. “We have work to do friends and the harvest waits for no one…”

Another brutal fight! Bahnam's Avengers and Arkev's Guardians fought in the snows, both far from the hot lands they normally reside in. Each side was trying to break through, with the additional goals of knocking out the most expensive enemy unit(Bahnam) and getting First Blood (Arkev).
Both sides deployed, with the Saurians winning the initiative and deploying from the south. The goal of the game was to break through to the other side.
Round 1 was mostly positioning for the next round, with both sides seemingly sluggish from the cold. Arkev managed to cast Tempest, dealing 3 hits to the Guardian Statue, resulting in one wound. He then secured his objective. Sulsi, the new Chameleon, managed to get 3 hits in with a poisoned dart, KOing one of the skellies and securing First Blood.
Round 2 resulted in a vicious melee, with lots of hits all around. One of the skeletons, perhaps with the wisdom gained from last battle, staggered off to find 30 points of treasure. Bahnam charged and wounded Nax, resulting in a stun. Nax unstunned, while Khetep the Statue charged Gint. He failed to wound, and Gint went feral, dealing 3 hits and managing to KO the statue. Following that, Irga wounded and stunned a Skeleton, while the Geckos and skeletons fought. Arkev healed Nax, and one of the Chameleons snuck over to the Undead's objective. The undead elected to retreat.
Bahnam's Avengers gained 30points from their loss, and 30 points from their treasure hunt. Khetep leveled up, as did one of the skeleton units, both getting +1 to melee. They used their point gain to purchase a Mummy Priest and 2 Skeleton Horsemen.
Arkev's Guardians gained 30 points from First Blood, and used 10 of them to better equip the Geckos, leaving the other 20 in reserve. They also gained 3VP
