Scenery is important in wargames but often overlooked. Whilst books and drink cans are ok they can get a bit boring after a while. The various companies out there all make their own including some great mdf stuff at good prices. Sometimes though you want something a bit different or unique which requires some hobby work. Enter the Justice League, or specifically Wonder Woman and Cyborg. Whilst wandering around a Home Bargains (a cheapish British supermarket chain) I found they had some DC movie merchandise (statues to be exact) dirt cheap. These seemed ideal to turn into wargaming terrain, being detailed enough to look good but cheap enough that if it messed up it wouldnt matter. With a bit of work, liquid greenstuff, thick card and a jar in the house I turned Diana of Themyscara into a hero of legend in any fantasy setting you wish ! ibb.co/72GGWYCibb.co/Jc4nmwb

Now lets start on the Sci Fi terrain ! I dug out my hacksaw meaning Cyborg would be a heck of a lot easier to work with then Diana.

Next was the actual statue work. I glued the DC figure to the statues base, in this case a wooden block I salvaged from a rubber stamp. After it dried I then milliputted the hacksawed base of Cyborg to better look like a bronze base for the actual endgoal. Finally I cut some card down (not very well or evenly unfortunately) and glued that to the wooden block.

After watching a youtube video on how to paint rust I decided on a Grey primer. I also put him on a base to avoid chipping.
