There's one thing I'd love to see, but it may not be able to fit into OPR rules.
In fiction, you read about charging a unit and chopping down the banner, and the importance of protecting your standard. You get the impression it should have morale effects. We've never really had banners you could chop down in these games. They've usually been either the old standard/banner rule or command groups. They are independent of specific representations because of different availability of figures. I understand that, but if there were a way to reward the protection (for one side) or capturing/destruction (for the other) of a battle standard, I think it would be fun.
The two main obstacles are banners not being specific models, and not being able to kill specific models.
Hmm, maybe this is all abstracted in the morale test you take for losing a melee.
I think that we definitely need to clarify the Command Group rules because right now there's some quirks to it. For example, if you have a unit that only has 1 model with a Battle Standard and you use a Sniper weapon to kill him, then I think you should lose your Command Group bonus. So that's something I'm going to be looking at.
About your other suggestion, I think this is one of those things that would fit in very well into Advanced Missions from the Full Rulebook, or as specific missions for a future supplement. I'm trying real hard to finish the update waves ASAP so that we can move onto stuff like that, so hold on tight.
