What's the current thought on balance of wizards? Would a bunch of them be unbalanced?
I'm close to finishing my next batch of undead, so working on my army list. Remember I use LotR ringwraiths as the Dark Ones that keep the Dead Men fighting for them. I was going to put the Dark Ones in a group and give them an ability like the Sisterhood, which gave the group Wizard(1), for one figure at a time. I just noticed that rule is gone.
But I'm also thinking of using them as heroes to lead the Dead. Are spellcasters balanced by the cost of the Wizard rule? If I had my undead units led by heroes with Wizard(1), would it be too powerful? I haven't played since magic was reworked.
I was going to put them twice in the list, as either heroes or a unit. The unit would only cast one spell per turn, but heroes would each have Wizard(1).

OPA, is your expectation that the point values for psykers and wizards are sufficient for balance?
thanks andy

Spells follow the same balance rules as other weapons, taking into account the different spell levels and the fact that they don't need line of sight, so they're just as balanced as anything else.

Thanks. I was really happy when you removed the limits on heroes and monsters, and I think it is more fun to let things go wide open. So my army will have a lot of Wizard(1).
My wife is away this weekend. I'm predicting the completion of my Dead Kingdom army. Finally!
