Just a thought while I was scoping out my next army to build, there are quite a few units that seems to have ranged attacks that are either dead weight, or are redundant with crew attacks, like chariot riders, beast riders, etc. Why not have these attacks act like fire breath, as it feels like they would in most circumstances (Being able to be used in melee or shooting)? That would allow those ranged attacks on things like Saurian's Ankylosaurus to be used more often rather than feel like points you paid for that aren't engaged. The wizard riders already act like this, as it just adds wizard to the model, and they have been found pretty useful in my group. Could be an interesting idea to test out in the Vinci army too, as you could have a cool unit like this:
