Hi Andy,
Thanks for sharing. I have to do annotated videos for my job and, in doing so, I've discovered that Android's speech-to-text feature is excellent. Here's a tip:
1. Snap the photo 2. Switch over to a note taking app 3. Hit the mic button 4. Speak your comment
It's not a big time saver but it does reduce the amount of typing you must do.

Thanks. The problems I have are: * the phone turning off * the camera app turning off * having to switch between apps
I assume the camera and phone turning off are both to save battery. I'd like to have an app that keeps the phone away and has two buttons. One would bring up the camera (because I'm sure camera up all the time would drain battery) and take pictures. I'd be able to close the camera while staying in the app. The other button would let me use text to speech to record a note. I wondered if it should go straight to recording a note after taking a picture, but I think I'd like to be ready.
The logic behind all that is very simple. I just don't have much Android programming experience.
