Hi, I'm just about to play with Raider Cavalry unit and was wondering if there's an inconsistency in balance, regarding to their K update table: Carbines (18”, A2) +5pts P-Blaster Carbine (18”, A4, Phosphor) +10pts The issue here is that, why would you use Carbines instead of P-Blasters? They got double the attack value, same range AND phosphor. I know that they cost more points but still... It seems like an obvious choice to go with P-Blaster and P-Breath variant (you get what I'm talking about) than Raider Sabre and Carbines, when this unit is just inferior. I was expecting to get at least longer range or "move after attack" or something. But maybe I'm getting this wrong and you can prove me wrong

Hello, please note that in table K, you replace 2xPistols for carbines on ALL models (for +5pts), whilst you only replace 2xPistols for a P-Blaster on ONE model (for +10pts).

Thanks for the reply! Yeah that's true I didn't notice that wording (on ALL vs on ONE) but still, I was hoping those two units (carbines and P-Blasters) would be sort of on the same page but different in use? I don't know like giving Sniper to Carbines or longer range and give it on ONE but that's just an idea because I love "those carbines models"

Oh and I got the Army Books mixed up. The on ONE and on ALL models rule is only in GF, in GFF 2.11 Machine Cult it's: Replace 2x P-Pistols for either Carbine for +5pts or P-Blaster for +10pts

Yes, that's correct in GFF as well, as you pay +5pts to have an A2 weapon, and +10pts to have an A4 weapon.

Ok I get it now, hanks!
Aand one last question and then I’m gonna give you a break 😅
If you were to put both weapons on the same power level (buff carbine raiders to match +10 P-Blasters), how’d you go about it?
