Consolidation Moves. The defending unit is activated after an enemy attack. The enemy moves back 1". What is the status of the activated unit? Is it still engaged in melee combat? Can you shoot from a distance of 1"? Maybe charge the unit that attacked it with all its charge bonuses? Can it fly away as long as it has flying or any other move?
There is no "locking in combat", so units are free to activate normally after being charged.
Thank you very much for your answer.
I had to ask because I was playing Kings of War before Perhaps these rules will interest the authors of Onepagerules. What I fell in love with Onepagerules is alternating activation. I hate IgoYgo
Units that have suffered at least one point of damage in the melee phase are Disordered – mark them with an appropriate counter. Units will remain Disordered until the end of their following Turn, when the Disordered counter is removed.
1. No Ranged Attacks
Disordered units cannot use any form of ranged attack (including spells). This is because they have been disrupted by the melee or are busy fighting back in close quarters.
2. No Fly While Disordered, this unit cannot use the Fly special rule. In addition, if a unit with Fly also has the Nimble special rule, then the Nimble special rule is also lost while the unit is Disordered.
3. No charge bonuses. While Disordered, the unit unit loses all special rules for charging bonuses."
