I was searching for a game that does not pigeonhole players strictly into a fantasy or scifi setting, and came across WarStuff which is perfect. It is abstract enough that one can pit WWII army guys against the undead, if so inclined.
I am struggling to decipher whether these rules refer to a single model or a group of models when it says "unit". The AoF and Grimdark rules define unit cohesion which is a mechanic I really like but see no mention of it in WarStuff.

Also, the rule page states:
Does that mean an entire player's army in total? Or does this just refer to a single squad of figures?

My understanding is that Warstuff is skirmish (i.e. individual models).

I feel like warriors spend a disproportionate part of the game being stunned. Am I reading this wrong?
So if any attack succeeds making a wound, even if the dice rolls 1 it still stuns since the minimum threshold is 2. Is this an oversight? The rules should either simplify by saying "being wounded always causes Stun", or the threshold needs to be raised to something like 3-5 = Stunned.

Is the main idea to get an opponent down, and then step up and finish them off while they are stunned? So it emphasizes getting up close and personal instead of just standing back and blasting away..?

In the v2.1.0 rules the introduction says " You can also use groups of models to represent a single unit, allowing you to play huge battles in a very short time.", but doesn't get mentioned again. onepagerules clarification on this?

As stated there, you can use groups of models to represent a single unit, so you can play out large battles using the same rules.

I guess I should have anticipated that. Anyway I have gone ahead and posted a remix at my other thread which does integrate true group units. The general idea being a ruleset which tries to replicate the richness of Grimdark/Age of Fantasy gameplay while preserving the ease and simplicity of army list building from Warstuff.
