I'm looking at the Tao Battlesuit Captain, and regular Battlesuit. They can be upgraded to have multiple ranged weapons, so does that mean they can fire all of these weapons on their turn? Or do you just equip them with whatever and choose which one best suits your situation?

They may shoot with all weapons. Remember that weapons of the same type must target same target but other weapon types may shoot at other target.

To clarify, any model can fire all their weapons.

Quite the fun thought space with the Tau... having so many options, but also being able to really specialize into one role, if needed

I just logged in to ask this same question. It seems so simple but yeah, rifle and pistol? Both in range? Roll for both.
Makes my Human Defense Force much better than I was expecting. My son tabled my Alien list this evening with some well placed HDF shots.

They may shoot with all weapons. Remember that weapons of the same type must target same target but other weapon types may shoot at other target. I've been reading the rules (V2.16) and building a TAO list (V2.5)- I was wondering if this point on splitting different weapons between different targets still held? The rules as written state: "When taking a Shooting action, a unit must pick one valid target and all models in the unit may shoot at it" So it would seem that a single unit with multiple, different weapons can no longer shoot at different targets- is this correct?

this topic is ancient. you cannot split fire in GF:F like you can in GDF. only use area shooting if you have multiple shots on one weapon.
