We played a game today & came across the situation where the High Elf player wanted to pivot his bolt thrower. We were having a hard time coming to a consensus as to whether this was allowed. Our confusion stemmed from the wording under the heading 'MOVEMENT' & the description of 'IMMOBILE'.
The description of Immobile states that the unit cannot move, but within the heading 'MOVEMENT' there is ONLY PIVOT, ADVANCE, RUSH & CHARGE. Can artillery units use the PIVOT?
Also, we allow units a 45` fire arc L/R, as we cannot find anywhere in the rules a section which addresses fire arcs.
Thanks in advance for responses to these questions.

We are using in our games old rules from warmaster, where basically front 180 degree arch is determined by front of the unit, thus allowing for greater coverage but also are pretty strict with “no turning” - once you outmaneuver artillery, that’s it, other units need to keep it safe there

note that immobile units may only use a hold action. a hold action allows ypu to pivot 180 and shoot.

note that immobile units may only use a hold action. a hold action allows ypu to pivot 180 and shoot. This question was from before Immobile was changed to only allow hold actions but completely forbid movement and pivoting is part of movement, no movement = no pivoting. Now Immobile only allows the hold action, but the hold action includes pivoting.
