Hi all,
I've got a small gaming group wanting to start playing Grimdark Future, and while I don't have any of the models from OPR or the game that inspired it, I do have a rather large collection of Xenomorphs from the Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps game and the old AvP: The Hunt Begins board game from a few years ago. The natural choice to use them would be the Alien Hives, but I wanted to add a little extra something, to give my Aliens that authentic "perfect organism" flavor.
So with that in mind, I set about making some stats and rules for the Alien Eggs, Facehuggers, and Chestbursters. Partly to make them a little different than your standard tabletop bugs, and partly so I can get some use out of the minis I have.
I'm looking for feedback, so I can workshop these into something playable. I might expand out and do whole lists for the various factions in the Alien and Predator universe(s), but for now, I want to see if this proposed add-on actually works and sounds like fun to play.
NOTE: Obviously, Facehuggers wouldn't be able to impregnate non-living units like tanks or robots, but until I can come up with a decent distinction between what is and isn't infect-able that can apply across all factions, for the moment I'd say to just use common sense and have both players agree on what's off-limits before the start of the game.
