This is a draft supplement for a different way to play Age of Fantasy / Age of Fantasy: Skirmish I'd love any feedback. I'd love even more for it to be adopted into the 'big' rulebook! Mage Wars.pdf (53.51 KB)

Just reading over the rules a little, there are some items to note that need to be worked or explained a little.
What determines a Wizard level, and are the model points adjusted for them. IE Wizard level 1 is 25pts Wizard level 2 is 35 and Wizard level 3 is 45 pts?
Can multiple Wizards be taken, can they be summoned?
Can a Wizard level 1 cast a level 3 spell?
Maybe change the name of Power Tokens to either Spell Tokens or Mage Tokens?
I don't think that issuing a spell should be automatic. Maybe roll a D3, if you're rolling for a level 1 spell, on a 1,2,or 3 it goes off. If you're firing a Level 2 spell, on a 2 or 3 it goes off. A spell of Level 3 only goes off on a 3. I think that's a more balanced approached.
Dispelling should be a roll off + Wizard level. Whoever gets higher wins, if there's a draw continue until one player is higher than the other. No real need to make it so complicated.
Summoning seems to be a spell of some kind but does not state explicitly if Power Tokens are used for them? Is there something missing?

the less rolls, the better the game. "not necessary what about depth" .... one roll to rule them all, have a meaning, if i need to keep rerolling 4x times normal attack (for charge move, initiative, hit, wound, armor save, ward save, regeneration....) it's boring.
dispelling is unclear here, because looks like its an auction now. Can both player keep adding power tokens? "oh you add 2 more again? let me add another one"
