In the upgrade section F it firsts states that I can replace all of my units long rifles for shotguns or carbines then the next section states I can replace any one Long Rifle with a special weapon.
Can I do this in any order? So I could swap out 1 long rifle for a flamethrower then swap the rest of the long rifles out for shotguns or am I limited to only getting a special weapon if the rest of the squad has long rifles?

Hi, another question about upgrading: since Attack Drones are considered an independent unit in the army book, when you add one to a squad as upgrade it's considered a separate model (for example, a Warrior squad with a Drone become a 6 models unit, where all the models count separately for attacks and casualties) or it's considered an equipment (so, if the specific model equipping it is killed you remove the Drone as well)?
Do other type of drone upgrade (Energy and Shield) and the Shishi Turrets follow the same rule?

You only get an additional model if the upgrade text says you get an additional model.
Only upgrades adding additional models are the weapon team upgrades for Feudal Guard and Human Defense Force.
Everything else is just equipment.

I'm reviving this thread to report a discrepancy: both ONI Captain and ONIs unit come by default as full melee units (the former being equipped with Great Mace and the latter with Heavy Glaives). However, when you remove the equipment to leave them with only Heavy Fists the ONIs lose 10 pts of value while the ONI Captain gains 5, is this an error? If not, they ever explained why?
