Hello everyone !
I found no thread regarding the battle brothers as army, so i decieded to create one. Furthermore, i hope that this threat could be used for asking specialised questions regarding the battlebrothers.
I am an fan of the good old Astartes from their start back in the 90´s and with the current developement of the tabletop game from England, me and my friends are very happy that Grimdark future exists and makes for a really nice game with all its good features, hard work for balance. Great work, really!
BTW, the community of 40k refugees is growing even in the tabeltop clubs in my area and this game is a nice way to play your beloved models which where dropped in rules by its developers because of aging.
Which brings me to my topic: when i first gazed into the armybook of the battle brothers, i was happy to see that i could play my old psyker on bikes ( i have a big White Scar army), also more happy that found the command squad on bike from the bike brothers. I had kitbashed once a really expansive squad which is now useless.
But, the options in Grimdarkfuture are gone also in Army Book 2.50.

I don´t understand, can someone from the rulescreator please explaine: why can i outfit only one model with a combat shield, which triggers a rule which only works if all models in the squad have a combat shield ?
Why can i give only one model a special close combat weapon like heavy chainswords or energy fists?
Why can´t i upgrade the bike brothers squad with veteran infantery when it increase the pointcosts of the unit in tradefor the extrabonus ?
Nearly the same goes for the Vanguards. One model could have a combat shield, but all models must have one to use its rule.
I do understand that the missing options goes in with balancing but i think that you are making a great job in pricing the pointvalue so that if i outfit a whole squad with energyclaws and/ or fists, it will cost its amount, leaving less space for other things in my army.
One last question: Is there any chance or way of integrating some models from <an english specialmanufacturer for bad resinmodels> like Caestus Assault Ram or Dreadnoughts ?
