Hello fellows. Last game we stumbled over a strictly op rule that is rending+poison. Each rule for themself is fine, but in addition this is waaaaaaaay to cheap. And I cannot find a way to better price it. I think there should be a special rule addition, that if a unit possesses both rules, the player chooses which one should be active. But both at the same time is dumbshit. Hopefully this will be adressed.

It is not to cheap, it is just super swingy. Either you hit like a wet noodle or you deal a huge amount of almost unmitigatable damage.

It's just a massive under priced buff that takes out the fun for the players. Same goes for goblin Trolls. Why to give an ap3 unit poison for basically no points? Start to compare units of each faction and you will see how imbalanced it is.

What do you propose the cost should be, because Poison is at the moment something around +50% cost for that weapon, which is on point for tripling the amount of hits in every 6th case on average.

This is what I'm talking about. Poison is well costed. But you get rending for additional 5-10 points that is ok as well. But the combination what you get for those few rending / ap3 attacks is a joke. ( just checked, trolls pay 5 points for upgrade ap1 to ap3....

It is 5 points for each weapon, 15 points for the whole unit, that is around +50% of the weapons cost.

For 15 points you double your damage output.... that's not ok.

An example: ghoul Horrors 170 pts 4+ 4+ poison ap0; Trolls 215 pts 4+ 4+ furious poison ap3; 9 attacks do 9 Hits on avaerage.
Vs an def3+ unit horrors do 3 wounds; Trolls do 7,5 wounds. Not calculated tue furious. For a 45 pts difference thats way too much.

But the total unit cost is not just the weapon, it is much more behind that number. That 45 points more just doubles the cost of the Troll's weapons, making it more than double as expensive weapons as the ghoul's ones.

In this case i chose 2 very similiar units. It is just the fact that certain special rules are much more stronger when combined than as stand alone. And especially poison with high ap / rending is one of them. My suggestion is to remove poison from any high ap unit and for rending make the attacker chise which rule should be active.

You will be pleased to hear that Poison will change to specifically avoid such stacking. Poison: on failed block roll of 1, take 2 vanilla hits.
