I am reading the rules for the first time and I am having a hard time understanding the breakthrough mission.
Marker Assignment: Both players assign 3 marks to 3 of their ships, alternating per the Placing Objectives rule. Is this correct? "the players opponent must both assign 3 markers" is the phrase that is confusing to me.
Marker Ownership: If a ship is destroyed, the marker drops, but can not be picked up by the opponent. This seems pretty clear, but I want to confirm my understanding.
Securing Markers: What is "the enemy’s long table edge"? It seems like you would enter the deployment zone and secure the marker on your way to what I would think is the long table edge. Does this just refer to the Front Line deployment and if using a different deployment we have to agree on how to leave the table to secure a marker?

Both players mark 3 of their deployed ships as objectives. Those ships have to move into the opponents deployment zone and survive until the end of the game. The player who has more surviving marks in the enemies deployment zone wins.
