Hello Everyone, Newbie here. Can't seem to find answers to the following;
1. How does elevation affect unit cohesion? As an elevated position is at least 3" above ground level & models in a unit can't be more than 2" apart can a multi-model unit be deployed say on both the ground floor & 1st floor of a building at the same time, or not (basically, this is a ground scale to figure/terrain scale question)? 2. Similarly, if unit cohesion doesn't allow this, can a unit on the ground floor enter into melee with a unit on the 1st floor (heard a rumour that this is possible in 40k)?
3. Finally, is my understanding correct that a surge titan cannot fire over say a grunt unit to hit another titan sized unit because the grunts are classed as being infinitely high for LoS (wouldn't elevation come into this)?
If there are existing protocols to cover these situations, please could someone enlighten me. Or are we best just house ruling it?
Enjoyed my first game immensely, by the way.

1. The terrain rules are not able to properly depict a multi level building, since it works based on a 2D environment, so anything relating to that is completely homebrew. As a basic assumption elevation terrain should add to anything that is related to movement, like unit coherency and striking distance.
2. If you could make base contact with the model if you would move 2", sure.
3. As said earlier, OPR games work entirely based on a 2D environment and height is non-existing outside of elevation terrain. Another thing to note here is that units as a whole block LoS, not only the models in the unit.
The Full Rulebooks have further guidelines for applying terrain rules to specific terrain pieces as well as additional rules to make multi level buildings and ruins easier to handle within its 2D environment.
