Following a post by fellow anachronist about the new changes to the lists (and the menacing response), I would like to comment on the difficulty of following discord news and comments. Personally, it is very difficult for me to follow the conversations and to be able to get the information from there, since I cannot go in constantly to see the answers. Maybe because of age, not being english native, the better availability to connect to the forum or its structure when writing a post is more pleasant to me in general and I think that right now it is given little importance and little use. I think that in this tool the texts are better fixed and organized and that for people who can't be waiting all day or who can cause anxiety when opening discord and finding a thousand new messages, it's a better channel of communication than 'should leave aside.

I agree. I find the forum superior to Discord. It's clearer and calmer. Anything important in Discord is lost in the incessant babble. Tried it; not for me. Please keep the forum alive.

Discord is great... If you can handle the incessant notifications and ever shifting messages. Unfortunately I'm not one of those people. My brain is slow and I work best when focusing on one thing at a time.
I got so confused and had to delete discord. It felt like I was at a family gathering and all of my relatives were trying to talk to me at once.

Discord is great for chatting with a small group of people. I've got a couple small discord servers related to Wargaming I'm quite active on.
For any content that needs to be retrievable and/or for a group that's as large as OPR fans it basically becomes an unmanageable news feed. The managers of the OPR server are clearly doing the best they can, but the platform has it's limitations.
I hate to be the grump, but it's hard to even justify taking the time for asking questions on the discord the because an inquiry is often quickly buried under the various other ongoing conversations. Unfortunately, forums are out of fashion so folks are unlikely to migrate here no matter how unwieldy a Discord becomes.

Discord is great... in two very specific situations.
1. A small group where posts are somewhat infrequent.
2. A live discussion where everyone is talking together and it's not intended as a source of information to be referred to later.
I'll admit that I don't get things like tiktok just because I'm an old fart but I really think that a lot of the problems with discord are because it's not being used for what it's best suited for.

I agree with the folks above. The forum is a vastly superior way to communicate. Checked out a different Discord server and it was such a mess to find anything. Discord might be OK as a chat device but not much else.

I too prefer forum format to discord. And I basically agree with all mentioned above.

same. I like that I can search more easily and the more "permanent" format.

And more dissapointed today... The OPR WebApp doesn't work. Have you seen any advice? Because I haven't. Did I lose all my lists?

Just use Army Forge directly. The WebApp is locked down for at least a month, due to the overall shift of how OPR should be accessed.

Your lists are all in Army Forge, where they always were. You only used the Web App as gateway to get to Army Forge. The whole communication was over Patreon and Discord and the changes were know for months.
