Hi everyone! Matías from Thunder-Chrome here. The great Matthew Caron pointed us in this forum's direction. Just wanted to say hi and extend you an invitation to comment on our models and ask any questions you may have about 3D printing. We are always willing to answer By the way, there is a BIG thing coming and it has to do with Sci Fi wargaming so we'll come here to tell you more soon. Keep playing!

aliothVery interesting printer. Cheaper and more compact than mine, which is about 2 years old at this point. Mine is based around an LCD projector, modified to transmit more UV light, and works with UV resins, so, it is quite tall (so that the projector can be underneath the printer). I shall have to download and print the Planetary Militia files. They are perfect for this other game I play, called "This is Not a Test". Think Mad Max + Fallout + STALKER. There is a group called the preservers, who have powered armor and laser weapons. I am interested in any models you wish to share. :-) Have you considered selling them? WargameVault deals exclusively in digital files by third party publishers, and so .STL files are a natural fit - www.wargamevault.com/browse.php?filters=0_0_0_44594Of course, if you want to give them away, I have no problem with that either. Your English is fine, and is much better than my French.

Hello everyone
Mattcaron – In fact I do not want to sell anything, A part of my figurines are made with the work of other people who made them available for free, I have a plan to create a folder on Dropbox or I will put all my figurines in share, I would give access to anyone who will request it against a promise never to sell these 3D files, This DropBox folder could be used by other people who would also like to share their work.

alioth - I can totally respect that position. If I may suggest - look at the Creative Commons licenses and pick one appropriate to your works. creativecommons.org/share-your-work/This will allow you to make your intent in sharing the files clear. For example, one thing of concern is - if I print some of your models for someone who pays for the material and machine time, is it commercial? Or, is it non-commercial because I'm not charging above my actual cost? The licenses often help clarify that.

I for one look forward to this announcement! As do I. I have their whole postapoc range. Here are some printed: groups.google.com/d/msg/muve-3d-support-group/UKGDH2-3Tfw/u-G8YGuZAQAJI have them basecoated, but haven't painted them any more than that. Maybe I can get some more airbrush time this weekend. The flaws are due to me tuning my printer for this resin, not flaws in the model.

mattcaron, that engine terrain is awesome. I can see that making a great objective marker. How big is it?

I have a good Resin printer and starting to test decent models. They come out nicely, but can take some time to print.

Here's a question that's been puzzling me. It's not specifically related to 3D printing, but this eemed like as good a place to put it as anywhere.
We all know that OPR (I'm a Grimdark Future lover myself) is a sane and efficient version of the bottomless-pit-of-rules-and-codexes-from-the-game-company-that-must-not-be-named.
But some of us own those codexes, and when looking for 3D print models, despite code names, the listings on places like Thingiverse seem to lean toward names from The Other Game.
That made no sense. I shall get to the point:
Has anyone ever made up a list pairing up Grimdark Future unit/model names with unit/model names from The Other Game? For example, if I am looking at the Alien Hives lists, and I want to know what the "Devourer Beast" is called in the other game, has anyone ever created that matching list?
I did a partial one a year or so ago, but A-I did not know the other game well enough to finish it, and B-I lost it.

Fear I lack a 3D printer myself, but have a friend trying to make a business out of it...the problem is that a lot of files have a non-commercial tag.
