Seems like there are no modifiers when shooting at flying units, unlike in GF.
That makes some sense when you consider that a lot of the flying units would have to land (or get very close) to be useful, but seems a little harsh on the Dwarf Helicopters, as one example. Did I miss something?
Similarly, a non-flying unit can charge a flying one?
We are talking about two different things here: units with the Flying special rule, and units with the Flyer unit type:
- Flyers are units that fly far above the battlefield such as planes and don't interact physically with ground units. - Flying units are units that generally fight close to the ground but can fly over units or terrain for a short period of time.
For game purposes in AoF all units can attack flying units.
Ok. So although technically the Dwarf Heli doesn't need to get that low, in the grand scheme it's not hundreds of feet up either. AoS? I thought this was AoF :-) As an aside, although I like the models, I have no interest in AoS, or any other rulesets by GW ;-). So while I like being able to use the models, feel free to re-purpose them as you see fit. I may query unit size/weapons and the like, but that's a desire to save on pocket and get best use, not to recreate anything.
