Thought I'd ask as I haven't seen anything that could conceivably serve a role of an angel or bird person army. What would be the best fit?

Are you looking for best match in the existing army rules? Or figures that would work?
There are some flying figures in the Eternal Wardens list. I'd guess they would be very angelic.

Had thought about Eternal Wardens, they seemed closest overall considering that they're basically Stormcast Eter- *BLAM* Heresy! Anyway, will have to try it out...fortunately developed the universe I intend to game in with using old Warhammer and Kings of War models in mind. |

At least with the Eternal Wardens you have an entire army of Paladins.
